The Machining Calculator suggests an appropriate speed and feed for a specific combination of cutting tool and workpiece material.

Extensive machining data for twenty material types is included.  Data for up to eighty more materials can be added with little effort.

Any of twenty tool types can be selected.

In addition to cutting parameters, the Machining Calculator outputs cycle times and power requirements for a proposed operation.

When you change a value, all dependent values are instantly updated.  You can play “what if” games very easily and plan cutting operations that make the most of available tools and machines.

Extensive use of informative tooltips helps make learning to use the program a breeze.  The tooltips can be turned off when they're no longer needed.

Output from the Machining Calculator can be added to the Job Planner with a single mouse click.

The Machining Calculator fully supports inch and metric users.
The Machining Calculator
You input the tool type, tool diameter, and workpiece material.

You get back:
        suggested RPM and SFM
suggested IPT (chip load), IPR, IPM
        material removal rate
        required horsepower

You specify the pass length and number of passes, or the hole depth and number of holes.

You get back:
        complete cycle time information

Change the material, tool diameter, speed, feedrate, overrides, number of flutes, whatever you like -  all dependent values instantly recalculate.

Metric users see the information displayed in metric units.

All this data can be sent to the Job Planner with a single mouse click.  It's really that easy.
